Half-Day Return Trip Forsayth to Einasleigh

The iconic Savannahlander Train delivers unforgettable outback rail journeys in the Gulf Savannah. When you are in the area, make sure you don’t miss out on taking a half-day Forsayth to Einasleigh tour, to enjoy scenic beauty and experience some local rail history.

The half-day tour starts at the Goldfield’s Hotel in Forsayth where you jump aboard a bus to travel over to the nearby town of Einasleigh. Here there is time to enjoy a cold beverage at the local pub and check out Copperfield Gorge, which is just over the road.

The next leg of the tour is on the Savannahlander train, which takes you back over the Newcastle Ranges to the Wirra Wirra siding. Track damage from local floods and fires stop the rail journey here, but the bus will pick you up and take you back to Forsayth.

What You Need To Know Forsayth to Einasleigh, 1/2 Day Return Trip

• The tour departs by bus every Thursday between April and October from Goldfields Hotel at 12.15pm.
• Grab some lunch at the Goldfields Hotel (at own cost) before departing.
• There’s time to view Copperfield Gorge when arriving in Einasleigh.
• Then board the Savannahlander Train for a 2.30pm departure, back over the scenic Newcastle Ranges to Wirra Wirra Siding.
• Be met there by coach, for a short bus ride back transfer back to Forsayth, arriving at approximately 5pm.
