Unearth Etheridge The Savannah Way

In addition to its two geological wonders – the Undara Lava Tubes and Cobbold Gorge – the Etheridge Shire offers visitors the opportunity to explore the vast savannah landscape, which is comprised of cattle stations, tiny towns, fossicking fields and friendly people.

This is a place where time slows down and stress slips away. A place for adventures and discovery, a place to make memories to last a lifetime. By day the roads and trails loop and wind through grasslands and over ranges, crossing seasonal rivers, creeks and streams and ancient volcanic plains. Late afternoons are for sundowners with golden light, before deepening to darkness and the twinkling light of a million stars.

The Etheridge Shire and Savannah Way is alive with the pioneering spirit of men, women and families who love the land and are proud to showcase its attractions and treasures with guests. So, we invite you to take your time and explore more when you are here, there’s something for everyone.

Please note, when planning your visit, access to the Undara Lava Tubes and Cobbold Gorge is by guided tour only. Tours operate seasonally between May and October. Advance bookings are essential to avoid disappointment.
